Helping God’s Family
God did not just save us from our sin. He saved us out of sin to be part of His family. We each have a role to play in building up that family. And it is through that very community that God sharpens us. This takes place in two ways:
Fellowship: Practicing in Community
Being a part of an intentional fellowship that celebrates, challenges, and learns together how to follow Jesus; and encourages each other to be accountable.
Join a small group; group studies, prayers, worship, service, etc.; spiritual mentoring; accountability/vulnerability; celebrating progress/growth
Church: Exercising your gifts
Investing your time, talent, and treasures to equipping and building up the church for the work of ministry
Spiritual gift assessment; gift utilization/volunteering within the church; generosity; cultivating gifts
